Daniel Laurence Cooke.
Born 15th November 1980.
Died on January 3rd 2007 aged just 26.
Daniel was taken from us suddenly on January 3rd 2007.
Daniel left behind mum Shirley Dad Richard and step dad Rod, brothers John and Alex, sister Kellie and twin sister Kirsty, Daniel also left behind his long term girlfriend Tracey and his very dear nanny Bridgid and nephews Ben, William and niece Aaliyah-mae.
Daniel grew up in Colchester with his brother John and sisters Kellie and Kirsty and was raised by his loving mother Shirley.
Later on in years Daniel's mum met Rodney and gained step sisters Louisa and Natasha, a few years later Daniels brother Alexander was born thus completing the family circle.
Daniel met his long term girlfriend Tracey when he was 14 and they were together until the day Daniel passed away in Januaury.
Daniel also had two nephews and a niece, Benjamin, William and Aaliyah-mae, who miss him dearly and cant understand why hes gone, they point to the sky and tell me hes a star now....which i believe with all my heart.
They have lost a brilliant uncle who loved them all dearly!

You where such good friend to me. I grew up with you being around, you where apart of my steet family. We had some rally good times i will never for get. you where so funny and always knew how to make me smile. i'm gonna miss that!
i left colchester a few years ago now but you and john always poped in to my head when ever i thourght of the place. WHY YOU!!!!! i loved it when we would bowl in to town like we where the best of the best, it was our town we used to say lol. you will always be in my heart and mind. see you when i get there mate......till then say hello to my mum she'll look after you.

hi kirsty, thanks for your messages on my daniels site.i can understand your mums feelings,as i was like that when daniel died. i dint have this of cos but it took me ages to look at photos.one day in her own time she will see this site and see what a wonderful place you have created for your daniel.and as she has aid in a earlier message he will always be a good looking young man. any way hope the 2 dans are together and having fun give my love to your family xx
hi ,hope you dont mind a stranger coming on here.i have a son daniel cook also and every time iput in to his site your son is next to him.today ii decided to pop in and leave a message hope that is ok.dont know how your son died but i can relate to the pain of the newspaper coverage etc, it does stop after a while and then you can be left to get on with your life. hope your daniel is at peace and perhaps meet his name sake and neighbour .lots of love to you all xx
Verdicts in!
Daniel no doubt you know what happened today, we had your inquest! They told us everything that we thought they were going to say execpt that it was Johnny that tried to revive you and mum told the police officer off as we all know it was Lee! seems the dosey bloke had'nt refreshed his mind with your case......However they came too the conclusion that its an open verdict as they did'nt have enough evidence to say it was accidental, Mum thought that would be the case! At least now we can register your death and try to get on nothing will be the same though! We were all together execpt John as you probably know, it was hard listerning to the details again cos it was all brought back to us, especially your name and date of birth cos it made it real again! The local press were there so Dan this really is going to be the last time you appear in the papers and the last time that we will have to see you in there thats going to remind us of your passing!
